Apple's Siri AI Books Service Appointments. The Same Setup Covers Google Too.

For three weeks, the conversation about agentic local booking has been framed as a Google story: Chrome Android auto-browse, Gemini agents, the late June rollout, Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan endpoints. Our June 14, 2026 investigation changed the frame. Apple entered this space at WWDC 2026, and the infrastructure it routes bookings through is the same infrastructure Google AI Mode uses.

That single finding rewrites what the late June deadline means for a contractor, healthcare practice, or any local service business.

What WWDC 2026 established

Siri AI is now a Gemini-powered, camera-aware agentic assistant capable of booking service appointments without a user opening a browser. It can photograph a dripping pipe and initiate a plumber booking. It can process an AC breakdown description and schedule an HVAC call. Developer beta is live now. Public beta ships this summer. Full release with iPhone 18 comes in September 2026.

Our June 14, 2026 investigation into the agentic booking layer (agentic-browser-booking-layer.md, session 47) documented the infrastructure integration: Siri AI books jobs through App Intents registered in Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, and Jobber -- the same booking software connections that Google AI Mode uses. A business on one of those platforms that enables the agentic endpoint gets Google AI Mode booking and Siri AI booking through a single integration.

The demographic overlap matters here. Our June 14 investigation noted that Apple's installed base skews toward higher household income -- the customer segment most likely to hire contractors for discretionary residential work: remodels, HVAC upgrades, landscaping, electrical. The directional assessment from that session: "Shops that wire up for Siri AI now will own the iPhone-customer share of their service area through 2027." That's not a guarantee, but the customer profile fits precisely the high-value residential work most local service businesses depend on.

The endpoint math has changed

Two weeks ago, the agentic booking infrastructure question was: does your booking platform have a Google-compatible endpoint? Our June 11, 2026 methodology rec on agentic booking audit scope (2026-06-11-agentic-booking-audit-scope.md, session 44) documented three checks -- ReserveAction schema, confirmed agentic endpoint support from your booking platform, and sub-one-second endpoint response time.

With Siri AI confirmed as sharing the same endpoint architecture, those three checks now gate access to two platforms simultaneously, not one.

The endpoint speed check is the piece most businesses underestimate. Our June 11, 2026 investigation cited Joy Hawkins' June 2026 reporting on the AI local pack: a 32% AI local pack rate means roughly one in three queries now narrows the consideration set before a human sees the results. The agents completing those narrowings require booking endpoints to return available slots in under one second. An endpoint that responds in 2.3 seconds doesn't fail gracefully -- the agent routes to the next result. That behavior is the same across Google AI Mode and Siri AI.

ReserveAction schema is the other piece that's almost universally absent. Standard LocalBusiness schema tells agents your business exists. ReserveAction tells agents how to initiate a booking -- which URL leads to the flow, what parameters define the transaction. Our June 11 investigation found that almost no local service sites have ReserveAction schema implemented, because until this summer, no production agent had used it at scale. That changes with the late June Android rollout and the Siri AI public beta.

The July deadlines from our research

Our June 14, 2026 investigation documented specific implementation targets tied to the summer rollout window, sourced from Marketing Code's analysis of the Google AI Mode timeline:

- Service pages with price and Service + Offer schema live: July 1, 2026 - FAQPage schema on top five service landing pages: July 4, 2026 - Sub-one-second booking endpoint wired into Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, or Jobber: July 15, 2026

These targets were set against the Google AI Mode and Chrome Android rollout. But since Siri AI's public beta ships this summer on the same endpoint infrastructure, the practical effect is a two-platform convergence inside the same window. Businesses completing the July 15 endpoint integration are wired for both Google and Apple before either reaches full consumer reach.

The device expansion most coverage is missing

Our June 15, 2026 research session (session 48) added a data point that the "late June Android" framing has compressed. Search Engine Journal's June 2026 coverage provided the framing that's becoming the shorthand for this shift: "AI Visibility Used To Mean Citation. Late June 2026, It Starts To Mean Transaction."

Accurate -- but "late June" undersells the scope. Chrome auto-browse is extending to wearables, in-car systems, AR glasses, and laptops through the rest of 2026 in a device-sequential rollout. The Android launch is the inflection point, not the ceiling. Siri AI's September full release with iPhone 18 follows the same pattern. By Q4 2026, agentic booking surfaces will be live across most major device categories.

There is also a data point from our June 14 investigation specific to electrical contractors: 67% of AI Overviews for electrical contractor queries reference Google Business Profile data directly. Profiles cited in AI-generated local recommendations average 2.4x the profile views of uncited profiles. 2027 is the projected year AI-driven local results surpass the traditional Local Pack in user-facing query share for that trade. The same infrastructure question -- booking endpoint, ReserveAction schema, GBP completeness -- applies across HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning at similar rates.

The business that wires up the booking infrastructure in July isn't preparing for one feature on one device. It's building the foundation that feeds all of these surfaces as they come online.

What to check before the window closes

For local service businesses -- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, healthcare, beauty -- the three checks are the same whether you're thinking about Google or Apple:

**Confirm your booking platform agentic endpoint is enabled.** Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, and Jobber all have agentic booking endpoints confirmed as of June 2026. These are not enabled by default in all configurations. The question to bring to your platform vendor: is the agentic booking endpoint live, and does your reservation flow support sub-second slot response? The vendor's answer is the finding.

**Add ReserveAction schema with a potentialAction block to your LocalBusiness schema.** This is what tells agents -- Google's and Apple's -- that a booking flow exists and where it leads. A standard LocalBusiness schema audit will not surface this gap. Most schema generators don't produce ReserveAction, because it hasn't been a prioritized signal until now.

**Load-test your booking endpoint before July 15.** GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights, or a direct timing check will give you a response time baseline. If your booking interface takes more than a second to return slot availability under normal load, that's the number to bring to your hosting provider or booking platform before the rollout.

One boundary to hold clearly: this is a Phase 2 concern. Our June 11, 2026 methodology rec was explicit -- the agentic booking layer only matters for businesses already appearing on two or more AI platforms in category queries. If AI platforms don't yet recognize your entity, the booking endpoint question is premature. Entity establishment -- directory presence, NAP consistency, LocalBusiness schema with sameAs links to verified profiles -- comes first. The agentic layer captures the transaction after the citation has already happened. It doesn't substitute for it.

Where Signal Check fits

If you're not sure whether you're in Phase 1 (not yet cited) or Phase 2 (cited on 2+ platforms), Signal Check at sourcepull.ca runs your query set across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude and returns per-platform citation status in under three minutes. The distinction matters here: running ReserveAction schema before fixing directory presence is solving the wrong problem.

For Phase 2 businesses, July is the window. Google AI Mode and Siri AI are converging on the same booking infrastructure at the same time, from two of the three dominant mobile platforms. That doesn't happen often.
